Willakenzie, Gamay Noir, 2005

Smell: Pepper, vanilla and blackberry with hints of strawberry. Smells like the bark of a freshly scratched tree. Brings back memories of picking pie cherries with the juice dripping down both arms, making them syrupy sticky.
Taste: Boysenberry, blackberry, cherry, spice and pepper. Like freshly chopped wood.
Finish: Blackberry with a hint of grapefruit. A bit chalky and sour.
