Patchwork Cellars, Pinot Noir, 2005

Smell: Woody, earthy, grassy, cedar,  vanilla, boysenberry, pomegranate.

Taste: Woody with a hint of cedar. Dried fruit: raisin, prune, fig. Definitely earthy, quintessential pinot.

Finish: Sour, acidic and tart. Hard and dry. Bourbon finish. A bit oakey. Not too dry. Fruit and berry aftertaste.

Cost: $$

Rating: ***
