Medici Vinyeards, Pinot Noir, 2002

Smell: Green peppercorns.
Taste: Spicy and a bit floral (like the green part of the plant). Like you're picking morels.
Finish: Sooo smooth--beautiful going down. The velvet hammer (yeah!).

Maison Bigot & Alex Gamal, Volnay, 1997

Smell: Dirt, dark cherries, moss, rotted plum.
Taste: Starting to loose its fruitiness. Needed to be consumed. Light like a soft dirt path. Fungus and rose petals. High quality earth--like you opened up a bag of really good potting soil.

Smell: Pepper, boysenberry, raspberry, brown sugar.
Taste: Mineral at the end. A quintessential Pinot! Strong--almost a port taste the second you swallow it.
Finish: Mineral, earth, and alcohol (probably will be better in a couple years).
